Millie's Many Buttons

Millie the mouse wanted to go play in the snow. But she needed to dress warmly first. So she took out her mittens, hat, coat and boots.
Putting her coat on, she started fastening the buttons: one, two, three, four...
But, try as she might, she could not tie up button number five!
She tried and tried but the more she did, the hotter she felt in her big coat.
So hot she did not even want to go outside anymore.
She just wanted to cry.
Just then she felt someone beside her.
She looked up and saw her mother.
“Millie, what’s wrong?” she asked.
“I can’t do the last button,” Millie said. “I tried and tried and now I just want to cry.”
Her mother smiled. “Let’s do it together,” she said.
Before she knew it, the button was done.
And Millie was happy again.
Sometimes asking for help is the best thing to do.
