Bravery in the Face of Open Doors
Today I was minding my own business, chasing Noodlefluff, my fuzzy hedgehog, down the hall when suddenly, out of nowhere, I encountered a situation of considerable concern.
A closet door had been left open, and I felt this required immediate investigation.
From a respectful distance, I studied the matter. (This is an important part of proper investigative work.)
I issued a polite warning bark.
Noodlefluff stayed very still.
The closet door refused to answer.
At this point, the matter could no longer be ignored, so I initiated the Second Level Safety Protocol.
Bark. Bark.
Still no response from either of them.
Bark. Bark. Bark. Bark. Bark.
Mom came running, rolled her eyes, and shut the door.
Mission accomplished!
I am fairly certain she was secretly impressed by my investigative skills and bravery.
Note to self:
When humans look annoyed, this means they are grateful.
P.S. I suspect Noodlefluff knows more than he is willing to say.
